[UPDATED] IA, ME, NV, WA - Count Our Votes!
Posted by: Cogito in 2008 Cycle, Barack Obama, Democratic Primary, Hillary Clinton
Four Three states are enabling the Clinton campaign in their subterfuge that “Hillary Clinton leads in the popular vote.” The only four three state parties which have not released hard counts broken down by candidate are: Iowa, Maine, Nevada, & Washington. These states hold party-run caucuses, and therefore are not required to release their counts to the public. However, every other caucus state party has released their data, and it is the secrecy of these four three that allows the Clinton campaign to continue misleading the American people.
“Hey - Iowa, Maine, Nevada, & Washington - count our votes!”
UPDATE: I just received a spreadsheet from a person in Nevada - they did keep track of precinct turnout, but not candidate strength within each precinct, only by delegates. When I get a chance this weekend, I’ll post the numbers.
Yes, I understand that Clinton includes MI and FL when calculating their totals, which they shouldn’t until it is decided how those two states are going to be represented in Denver (they will be seated, we’ve been told - it’s just a matter of how). The Clinton campaign should not being doing that - again, more subterfuge from their people. What the Clinton campaign does not count are numbers from the Iowa, Maine, Nevada, & Washington caucuses - because those states haven’t released them. Websites like Real Clear Politics have done a terrific job estimating the counts based upon total figures and percentages, etc each candidate received - but without these states opening up their books, the Clinton campaign will continue this deception.
It is time for Iowa, Maine, Nevada, & Washington to release their numbers from the caucuses held on January 3, February 10, January 19, & February 9 (respectively). We have talked a lot about transparency in this election in terms of the candidates, their taxes, their experience, etc - it is time for these four three states to open their books and be transparent in the caucus results from their states.
According to Real Clear Politics estimates, even with MI and FL being counted in full, with none of the “uncommitted” vote going to Obama - when you add in the four three states - he still leads the popular vote. And that is the truth - not deception.
Iowa, Maine, Nevada, & Washington - count the votes in your states - and let the people know!
Send emails, letters, faxes, &/or phone calls to the state parties using the contact information below and let them know “We want our votes to count!”
